Anthony DiMarco

You can build a successful life and still find yourself asking questions success was supposed to answer.

I spent years trying to answer them. Then I watched the ground underneath me give way. LynchPyn was built from both.

How people find me

People don't find me through a search. They get referred. Someone they trust says: talk to Anthony. He's lived it.

When they call, it's about something pressing.

The team, a succession question, an operating system that's installed but not quite running. Good. That's real work, and I treat it that way. I spent a decade installing those exact systems, on top of three decades building companies of my own.

But somewhere in that first conversation, almost every time, the real subject walks in. The thing under the thing. And that's the part I was built for. People describe me as someone who can sit at the boardroom table and the kitchen table. Same conversation.

The work I do

The next win might not be one you chose.

Give us a target and we're pretty good at organizing everything around hitting it. Let's face it, that's never really been the problem.

The problem is the one most of us miss, or never stop to check. I've watched a lot of people, myself included, spend years collecting gold stars on things that turn out not to matter. And the reason it's so hard to catch is that the pattern that got us here is one we run so well we can't slow down long enough to question it.

So the next objective, the next win, might not be one we chose. It might just be where our past was already headed.

Same person, same operating system, higher numbers. It can look like a new future when it's really a more successful version of the one we're already in.

I'll help you build. That part is real. And while we do, I'm working on the person doing the building. Most people in this work do one or the other, the business or the person. I do both, at the same time, in the same conversation.

I do both because I learned the hard way that doing one doesn't hold. Fix the business and leave the person, and the same problem comes back. It always does.

Most people don't see that from the outside. A lot of us don't even see it from the inside.

The work is personal

The part the referral doesn't say.

I didn't build this from theory. By every marker people use to keep score, I was winning. Collecting the gold stars, living the life I thought I wanted. What I couldn't see was the currency I was paying in. I was exhausted. The ones who mattered most were getting the least of me. I barely saw my kids.

And then I lost it all. Not just the money. It took the identity I'd built on top of the money, which was the part I really didn't see coming.

What I know now is what I wish someone had helped me see before any of it happened. That's what I bring to the leaders I work with. They don't have to lose what I lost to understand what I learned.

I don't understand this territory only because hundreds of leaders have trusted me with theirs. I understand it because I've had to find it in myself. That's what lets me hear the thing a leader has stopped being able to say.

The conversations

Most people perform even in their most trusted rooms.

Member. Facilitator. Founder. Hundreds of leaders. Thousands of conversations. When the doors close and the strategy talk runs out, I'm the person they tell. The doubts. The decisions they'd take back. The cost no one outside the room ever sees.

The turn comes when someone finally says the thing they've been managing around. Out loud, to another person, for the first time. Not because they learned something new. They already knew. Saying it is what moves them.

Enough of those conversations, and the same shape starts to show. What feels singular from the inside, one leader's private situation, I've usually seen before. Not because your situation is common. Because the shape is. That's what lets me help, and move fast to the part only you can do. What they paid to learn, you don't have to.

Background

Lived first.

I built companies. I scaled them. I lost one, and rebuilt differently because of what it taught me.

30+ years building and running companies of my own.

Over two decades inside private peer rooms as member, facilitator, and trainer. Certified Forum Facilitator with YPO.

Over a decade coaching founders and CEOs one to one.

The operating systems. I came to them the way you probably did, inside my own companies. Then I spent years installing them for other people. I've sat in private rooms with the people who wrote the books on your shelf. So I know these systems from the inside and from the source. And I learned the same lesson every time. Every operating system stops at the same place. The person running the company. That's the work I do now.

Trained in how the brain works under pressure. How it builds patterns, and what it takes to change one. Not a credential to hang on the wall. It's why a conversation that went nowhere else can hold here.

Anthony is the real deal. I don’t get to say this often enough about people.
