Forum SuperCharge · For YPO Forums

For Forums that are already good.

Knowing how to do Forum and getting everything Forum has to give you are two different things. The SuperCharge is built for the second one.

Anthony DiMarco · Certified Forum Facilitator, YPO · Over two decades inside these rooms
What this is

Every practice in Forum was built for a reason. Most rooms are running the practice and losing the reason.

You know how to do Forum. I'm not there to teach you Forum. Your Forum runs the practices. You've run them for some time. Nothing on this page questions that. What I do is go underneath them.

Consider what your Forum actually costs you. Four hours a month, every month. Protected in a calendar that protects almost nothing. It may be the single largest recurring investment of time you make outside your company. So the question was never whether the meeting is good. The question is whether you're getting everything those hours have to give.

The SuperCharge exists for the rooms that aren't. Not because anything is wrong. It's just become comfortable. Ask how it's going and the answer is usually the same. It's good. And Jim Collins taught us what the enemy of great is.

Good.

You know the signs. Check-ins get relaxed. Updates slide toward status reports: what happened this month, instead of why it mattered to the person saying it. The parking lot, if you keep one, fills up, and every topic gets the same tool. Drift isn't a Forum doing it wrong. It's a Forum going through the motions without connecting to the meaning.

And there's a second drift no room can help: the practice itself keeps moving. YPO is continuously evolving its best practices. Most Forums are running the version they learned when they formed. The room stayed good. The bar moved.

YPO brings me in to train new members and moderators across the network. But with an established Forum, I do one thing. The SuperCharge. I don't offer a menu of services. I chose the one piece of work that changes a room most, and I've put everything into it. Over two decades, and it's still the only thing I do here. Because a room that runs on the reason behind the practice is a different room. That's the value worth specializing in.

You already have the practices. I bring back what they were built for.

What Forum actually is
Forum is for me. And it only works because of us.

Before I tell you what the SuperCharge does, you should know what I believe Forum is for. Not as a facilitator. As a member sitting in one of these rooms for over two decades.

Forum is for me.

Let me explain it this way. You know how on a plane they tell you to put your own oxygen mask on first, then help the people you care about? That's how I look at Forum. I come into that room and I work on me. Not my team. Not my business. Me.

I call it courageously selfish. I make the work about me: the real stuff, the hard stuff, the thing I wouldn't admit anywhere else. That takes guts. And it's necessary. Because when I take care of myself first, I have more to give. Clearer. Steadier. A better leader, a better partner, a better human.

And the rest of the room? Radically generous. We hold the space. We don't fix each other. We don't solve each other. We witness. We are radically present. That's the gift we give back to each other.

That tension, selfish about my own work, generous in how I hold the room for everyone else's, is what makes a Forum real instead of just safe. When everyone does their work, everyone benefits. And when everyone is listening for their own learning, it's exponential.

Every practice in Forum exists to protect that paradox: Forum is for me, held inside radical generosity. Protecting that is the work. It's what I bring into the room.

I wrote the longer version of this down. It's a short read, and it's the closest thing I have to an answer for what Forum is actually for. Forum Is for Me

The SuperCharge

It fits in one meeting slot.

A half day with your Forum, or a full day if your group wants it. It takes the slot of a regular meeting, so it costs the calendar nothing. Before we meet, your Forum completes a Health Survey, and I build the agenda around what your room actually needs.

We work the practices you already use, and go underneath them:

The check-in. What it's actually for, and what changes in a room that treats it that way.

Updates. The five percent that matters most, the best and the worst, instead of whatever happened most recently.

The parking lot. Building one that's honest. And matching the right tool to each topic, because not everything is an Exploration.

Topic selection. IQ topics and EQ topics ask different things of a group. The topic a member brings is rarely the whole story. It's usually the door.

The Exploration. Run live, so the room feels the difference instead of hearing about it.

Nothing here adds complexity. We sharpen what's working, reintroduce what's slipped, and bring your Forum current. Members feel it at the very next meeting.

What Forums say

"I always believed every facilitator brought something valuable to the table, until I met Anthony. That's when I realized the difference between a good facilitator and a truly exceptional one. He doesn't just know the framework. He sees the matrix. He understands not just what Forum is, but what it can be at its highest use."

Ajay · YPO Forum Officer

"I've worked with many CFFs and I highly recommend Anthony to all Chapters and Forums. I've only received incredibly positive feedback, mostly unsolicited, from everyone who has attended his sessions."

Eric · Former YPO Forum Officer

How it works

Built for your Forum.

  1. The Health Survey

Your Forum completes it before anything else. It shows me where the room is strong and where the room is ready.

  2. The alignment call

Before I build anything, I meet with your Moderator or the member holding the room. I learn the group, the group learns me, and we agree on what the day is for.

  3. The agenda

Built for your Forum specifically, from what the survey surfaced. Nothing off a shelf.

  4. The session

Half day or full day, in the slot of a regular meeting. Virtual anywhere in the world. In person from Toronto.

  5. The follow-up

I check back in with your Moderator after the next meeting, and again a few months on. What's holding, what's slipping, and what needs one more touch.

Begin a conversation

Bring it to your next meeting.

This decision belongs to the room, the way everything in Forum does. Talk about it together.

If the room says yes, or just wants to ask me anything first, here's what happens next: you send a note, we find a time, and we talk.
